Terms of Service
Last updated: 9 July 2026 — DRAFT, subject to legal review.
1. Who we are
limou is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS], [COUNTRY] (“limou”, “we”). Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].
2. The service
limou generates short marketing videos from text scripts using artificial intelligence: synthetic avatars, synthetic voices and automated captions. Videos are rendered from the script, avatar, voice and style options you choose. Output quality depends on the inputs and the selected quality tier; AI output varies and identical inputs can produce different results.
3. AI-generated content and transparency
All videos created with limou are AI-generated. Every rendered file carries a machine-readable marking identifying it as AI-generated (EU AI Act, Article 50). You must not remove this marking. When you publish limou videos, you are responsible for any disclosure duties that apply to you as the publisher — including, in the EU, disclosing deepfake or synthetic content where Article 50(4) of the AI Act requires it, and complying with the advertising rules of each platform you post to.
4. Your content and licence
You keep all rights in the scripts and product photos you upload, and you own the videos you generate, subject to these terms. You grant us the licence needed to process your inputs and host your outputs. The avatar characters, their likenesses and preview assets belong to limou; you may use them only inside videos generated with the service.
5. Acceptable use
- No content that is illegal, defamatory, deceptive about material facts, or infringing.
- No impersonation of real persons and no content suggesting a real person said or did something they did not.
- No medical, financial or legal claims presented as professional advice; no prohibited-product advertising.
- No attempts to remove AI markings, abuse free allowances, or resell raw model access.
6. Plans, credits and payment
Subscriptions renew monthly and grant the plan’s credit allowance each cycle; unused credits roll over while the subscription is active. Top-up packs are one-time purchases available to subscribers. Prices are shown in euros and include VAT where applicable. Failed renders are automatically refunded in credits. You can cancel anytime effective at the end of the billing period.
7. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you buy as a consumer, you consent at checkout to immediate performance of the digital service and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once rendering begins. Unused credits from a first purchase are refunded on request within 14 days.
8. Liability
The service is provided as-is to business and consumer users alike. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim; mandatory statutory rights (including for intent, gross negligence and injury) remain unaffected.
9. Governing law
[GOVERNING LAW / JURISDICTION — e.g. French law, courts of Paris], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
